Zine Series

Perform is a series of zines that highlight the unconventional side of college athletics. Each zine focuses on one athlete who faces challenges in their student-athlete experience. The goal of this publication is to educate readers that college athletics is not always about winning titles and breaking records. It is about adapting to a new environment, learning to balance several responsibilities, adjusting to losing on and off the field, and prioritizing one’s mental health. Color and typography are uniquely treated for each zine but retain elements that allow them to function as part of a series.
